Fred Odsen
Attorney of Counsel
After Fred Odsen graduated summa cum laude from University of Washington in economics, he decided to stay in Seattle to attend law school at UW. He was most interested in the interrelationship between economics and business and the applicable laws which regulate or affect economic and business activity.
In 1978, just a few months after graduating from law school, Fred joined the law firm as an associate and later became a partner. Practicing primarily in the areas of real estate, business transactions, foreclosure and bankruptcy, Fred has received some of the highest peer reviews and awards in the legal profession including an AV Preeminent rating, Best Lawyers in America and Alaska Super Lawyer.
“I try to serve clients honorably, effectively, in a reasonably timely manner and at a fair cost,” he says of his legal philosophy.
When he became Of Counsel to the firm in 2016, Fred moved back to the Seattle area where he and his wife set about remodeling their home. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and exploring and traveling—particularly in the Pacific Northwest. He most recently was designated as a 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in litigation–bankruptcy in Anchorage.
