EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025,
THE LAW FIRM – HUGHES WHITE COLBO & TERVOOREN, LLC – CEASED OPERATIONS.

After 86 years serving Alaskans, their businesses, and national and international clients, the firm has elected to cease operations. The three name members – Jimmy White, Kimberlee Colbo, and Steve Tervooren, will continue their practice of law in Alaska, bringing to bear their collective 105 years of experience on behalf of clients, but they will do so in the form of three new and independent firms. This transition is in no way a result of any firm or individual problems or differences. To the contrary, the members of the firm remain the best of friends and look forward to continuing their respective practices in a manner which best reflects their unique subject matter expertise, goals for their individual practices and different time horizons to eventual retirements.

The firm has been centrally involved in most of the major developments in Alaska, including the push for statehood, North Slope oil and gas development, the Alaska Pipeline, the emergence of Alaska business centers, the 1980’s capital projects boom, and cutting edge matters ever since. It has been our honor to be of service. We thank you for trusting us with your legal issues. We look forward to serving you through our new firms.
